GN is the forthcoming sophomore album by Chicago post-country band, Ratboys, lead by singer/guitarist Julia Steiner and guitarist Dave Sagan. Drawing influence from Sheryl Crow to Kim Deal and Jenny Lewis, GN has been called “special and personal” by The Fader, NPR praises the “jangle in their twang” and the Chicago Reader says it’s the “unquestionable connection between emo and country.”

Today, Ratboys share GN before it’s properly released this Friday, June 30 with Topshelf Records (Braid, Sorority Noise, tricot).

Ratboys join Mother Evergreen, All Get Out, and Diet Cig for various dates around the US this Summer and Fall. Ratboys are joined by Mother Evergreen, Special Death, and Sincere Engineer this Friday for a record release show at Schubas in Chicago. All confirmed tour dates below.
