New Firmware for the Astell&Kern A&ultima SP1000 and SP2000 adding Roon Ready support will be available on March the16th.

Astell&Kern, the manufacturer of portable high-resolution audio players and accessories, has announced Roon Ready certification of two players from the A&ultima line of flagship players. The SP1000 and SP2000 will become Roon Ready via a firmware update to be released over the air (OTA) on March 16th 2021.
ROON READY
With the addition of Roon Ready certification, Astell&Kern players transparently discover and connect to Roon without any configuration, and bit-perfect audio is delivered from Roon to the player.
The first two Astell&Kern players to receive Roon Ready certification are the current flagship Astell&Kern A&ultima SP2000 ($3,499) and the Astell&Kern A&ultima SP1000 (limited edition).
