CHORD CLEARWAY STREAMING CABLE LAUNCHED
British cable brand Chord Company has introduced a new streaming cable into its Clearway range, the Chord Clearway Streaming Cable.
Purpose built for today’s streaming age and priced from £80 to suit a wide range of partnering hardware, the new Clearway Streaming cable offers a step up in performance from the Wiltshire company’s entry-level C-stream (£40).
CHORD CLEARWAY STREAMING CABLE
Chord Clearway Streaming benefits from four high-speed 26AWG OFC twisted-pair conductors, which have been individually shielded from each other. An additional optimised shield beneath the outer jacket, has also been included to offer further protection from high-frequency noise interference.
SLIM PROFILE RJ45 CONNECTORS
The new Clearway Streaming also gains from Chord Company’s latest-generation slim-profile 24ct gold-plated RJ45 connectors for wide-ranging compatibility with Ethernet-enabled hardware, including high-performance data switches, such as the English Electric 8Switch and 16Switch. Further design features include zinc connector jackets and a non-compression strain-relief system to keep the RJ45 terminations in optimal condition. A directional cable, Clearway Streaming features useful directionality indicators on one of the RJ45 connectors with a blue dot indicating the source end. The cable is available in 0.75 m, 1.5 m, 3 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m and 20 m lengths, to suit a wide variety of applications.
Doug Maxwell, Chord Company’s Sales Director said, “The Clearway range is immensely popular with our customers around the world, thanks in no small part to the huge number of awards the collection has amassed. We’re delighted to be expanding the range with another high-performance yet high value cable, and one that’s perfectly positioned for the blossoming music streaming category where good-quality cabling is vitally important.”
