Falcon Acoustics have launched their R.A.M. Studio series speakers. Falcon are known for hand-building the LS3/5a monitor to the original BBC spec, alongside its new Reference Audio Monitor (R.A.M.) range.

There are three models in the range, all of which have 25mm MDF cabinets in European Walnut, High Gloss Black or Burr Walnut real wood veneers complete with man-made leather baffles, and feature interchangeable side panels.  They also have heavy-duty Falcon-designed rear terminals, mounted on 2mm stainless steel plates. For the floor-standing Studio 30 (pictured), a heavy plinth is provided complete with CNC stainless steel spikes.

The Studio 10, the smallest in the range, is a 2-way ported stand-mount speaker utilising a 150mm (5”) Polypropylene cone woofer and custom 25mm (1”) soft dome tweeter. The Studio 20 is a larger stand mount 2-way ported speaker utilising a 170 mm (6”) Polypropylene cone bass unit and a custom 25 mm (1”) soft dome tweeter.

The Studio 30 is a 3 way floor-stander with twin 170 mm (6”) Polypropylene cone woofers especially made for Falcon and a proprietary Falcon 50 mm (2”) dome midrange driver, which hands over to a custom 25 mm (1”) soft dome tweeter.
