Philadelphia oddball trio GREAT TIME premiered they’re groovy new single,”Rushin”, with a stutter-step video “Rushin’ bridges the sonic gap between Thundercat and Men I Trust.” Writer Sean Kayden wrote. The triad infuses an assortment of sonic accents ranging from funk, soul, and dance-pop, with the airy, eclectic endeavour offering up jazzy arrangements, groovy bass lines, and Prince-style weeping melodies.”
Philly trio GREAT TIME emerged on the scene with their debut record Great Album in 2018. The trio quickly made a name for themselves with an eclectic array of influences, a discerning approach, and a small serving of goofs; one listen front-to-back will have you forgetting whether you’re couch surfing or crowd surfing.
Over the past year, GREAT TIME has quickly risen to buzz band status, receiving endorsements from the likes of NPR, Paste Magazine and EARMILK all heralding the band as a quintessential Philly band you need to know.
At their live shows, GREAT TIME’s range inspires a kaleidoscope of emotions (not to mention dance moves). Their music attracts all types of ears and is influenced by artists that go as hard as Nirvana, as gentle as Sufjan Stevens, and as dancy as Little Dragon. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Great Time built a recording studio on a farm outside Philly, where they live and produce themselves and other bands.
