Kalista DreamPlay X All In One Player

KALISTA DREAMPLAY X AND XC ALL IN ONE SACD, STREAMER, DAC AND PREAMP

French brand Kalista was created in the early 2000s by high-end mother company Métronome Technologie.

The new device from the brand is an all in one player, in two versions, named the Kalista DreamPlay X and Kalista DreamPlay XC.

This is the first SACD player from the brand, it uses the latest technologies to become one of the first high end four in one products with SACD player, streamer, DAC and digital pre-amplifier.

Jean Marie Clauzel, the owner and creator of Metronome and Kalista told us that Kalista fans have been requesting an SACD Transport or Player for a long time. And here it is, immediately recognizable by its shape, even if there are no parts in common with the other products of the DreamPlay range.

The signature mix of materials is still there, aluminium for the chassis, stainless steel for the feet, transparent methacrylate for the top, and a brand new round touch screen.

Jean Marie Clauzel, owner and designer of the Kalista and Metronome brands told us “We do not create products like this one every day, even if the last years have been rich in new product releases (DreamPlay STREAM, the Twenty-Twenty turntable). For me, DreamPlay X is the assertion that Kalista plays in the big leagues, or -better- that we are one of the major leaders in this field”.

LEEDH PROCESSING

The Kalista DreamPlay X is not just SACD Transport, it is also a Streamer and Network Player (up to DSD256), with resampling functionality. The integrated version, DreamPlay XC, has a DSD D/A Converter inside and the fellow French brand Leedh Processing’s digital volume control.
