Elizabeth Gould of Martins HiFi in Norwich got in touch to tell us about their latest event, “Lowering the Noise Floor: The Basics”.

Elizabeth told us: “We believe every existing audio set can be dramatically improved with some simple and cost effective additions to address noise in the system. This is what we mean when we talk about lowering the noise floor. This event will take you through the three main ways we can address noise in the system and demonstrate the products and techniques applicable when starting your journey”.

LOWERING THE NOISE FLOOR

Elizabeth and her team at Martins HiFi will be covering the basics of lowering the noise floor electrically, mechanically and acoustically.

ON DEMONSTRATION

The Martins HiFi team will use three different brands for their demos:

Entreq Micro and Macro kits. Entreq are for their grounding boxes, cables, and power bars designed for electrically lowering the noise floor.

Stillpoints Ultra Mini V2 and Ultra SS V2. Patented and made in the USA, the Stillpoints Ultra range products are designed to remove the direct path between the component and its surroundings to lower the noise floor mechanically.

Acustica Applicata. Martins HiFi stock a range of Acustica Applicata products including the Eco DAAD. Designed in Italy, the DAAD range of products are designed to lower the noise floor acoustically.
