REGA BRIO MK7 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

The Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier is designed to deliver robust audio output, providing 50 watts per channel into 8Ω and 72 watts per channel into 6Ω. This power ensures compatibility with a wide range of loudspeakers, catering to various listening preferences. The amplifier’s compact, custom half-width aluminium casing not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also contributes to effective heat dissipation, promoting reliability during extended use.

ENHANCED CONNECTIVITY WITH BUILT-IN DAC

A significant advancement in the Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier is the integration of a Rega-designed onboard DAC. This addition provides two digital inputs—optical and coaxial—offering greater flexibility for users connecting digital sources such as CD players and network streamers. This shift from an all-analogue design to incorporating digital capabilities signifies Rega’s responsiveness to contemporary audio trends.

REGA BRIO MK7 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER: DESIGN AND BUILD

The Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier is housed in a compact, custom half-width aluminium case, slightly deeper than previous models to accommodate the new DAC section. This design not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also improves heat dissipation, contributing to the amplifier’s reliability. The internal circuitry has been re-laid to optimise performance and reduce distortion, ensuring a clear and detailed audio experience.

VERSATILE ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL INPUTS

The Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier offers a comprehensive range of inputs to cater to various audio sources. It includes three line-level inputs and a dedicated moving magnet (MM) phono stage, allowing users to connect turntables directly. The phono stage benefits from improved isolation between stages and high-spec op-amps, enhancing the performance of attached cartridges. The addition of optical and coaxial digital inputs expands its versatility, accommodating modern digital devices.

USER-FRIENDLY FEATURES IN THE REGA BRIO MK7 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

The Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier introduces several user-centric features. A new mini system remote, compatible with the Brio MK7 and future Rega products, allows users to operate the standby function, powering the unit on and off remotely. Additionally, the amplifier includes a 3.5mm headphone port, providing a convenient option for personal listening sessions without compromising the main speaker output.

REGA BRIO MK7 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER: AVAILABILITY AND PRICING

The Rega Brio MK7 integrated amplifier is now in full production and available to order. It is priced at £799, positioning it between Rega’s entry-level io amplifier (£440) and the higher-end Elex MK4 (£1,260).

HiFi PiG Says: A great looking new amp from Rega, packed with upgrades over the previous version.
