VPI ANNOUNCE GOLDY MC CARTRIDGE IS NOW AVAILABLE
VPI Goldy MC cartridges are now available for purchase and shipping. The Goldy is another VPI and Audio Technica partnership product.
Using the Audio Technica AT-OC9 series as a base with VPI’s voicing, the Goldy has a line contact stylus on a boron cantilever.
VPI GOLDY CARTRIDGE
The Goldy has the same internal and dampening modifications as the Shyla cartridge in addition to other material changes as well. And of course it is no secret the VPI Goldy cartridge is named after Mat and Jane Weisfeld’s second daughter, Goldy.
MAT WEISFELD
Mat Weisfeld told us: “The goal is to create a more cost-effective option that still punches above its price point while being decently easy to set up. When voicing the Goldy, as with the Shyla, our main focus was to hit the midrange while still having a strong punch on the base and detail on the highs”.
