Fostex T60RP Headphones Launched
Fostex have released the T60RP Headphones which is the latest culmination of RP (Regular Phase) technology, used in headphones made by Fostex since the mid 70’s. Most notably, Fostex RP models are the world’s most modified headphone by HeadFi enthusiasts. This. planar maganetic headphone has been modified and tuned for audiophile listening, with wooden cups and balanced connection options, for portable players and dedicated headphone amplifiers.
They feature Fostex proprietary RP diaphragms made of polyimide film with copper foil etching. The neodymium magnet realises wide frequency reproduction with high input tolerance up to 3000mW.
The wooden housings are made of African mahogany, giving further depth to the RP diaphragms sound. The standard straight detachable connector offers unbalanced connection with various balanced connection options. Optional cables ensure ‘off the shelf ‘compatibility with recent balanced-connection-ready DAPs and headphone amplifiers.The standard and optional cables are made of OFC. Newly developed yoke panels have less than half the carbon content for more efficient magnetic transmission and better linearity. Genuine leather headband and new around-the-ear ear pads provide improved comfort for non-fatiguing listening.
Target street price is GBP 300.00 (inc tax) and will be available in the UK in early January 2018.
