432 EVO AND AMPHION AT THE DUTCH AUDIO EVENT 2024 IN VELDHOVEN

Belgian music server brand 432 EVO is once again partnering with Finnish loudspeaker brand Amphion, this time bringing a more affordable system to room 59 of the Dutch Audio Event, this weekend in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.

432 EVO

The focus now is on 432 EVO’s Roon compatible AEON server, with the unique 432 Hz on-the-fly conversion and also featuring 432 EVO’s innovative dedicated audio core technology, which it already invented in 2016.

AMPHION

Amphion is bringing the new Argon 7LS, a living room friendly floorstanding speaker with tech derived from Amphion’s studio monitors. The Argon 7LS n will be used as the main loudspeakers, with the Argon 3S and the Argon 1S as backups.

432 EVO uses Amphion Krypton3X (as shown on DAE 2023), Krypton3 and the studio monitors for all critical listening during the development of 432 EVO music servers.

432 OS

432 EVO demonstrated the first test version of 432OS in Munich, an OS which is now based on a long term supported enterprise grade Linux OS from May 2024 also used by CERN, with a ten year life cycle, but also optimized for real-time audio.

All knowledge, inhouse developments and tuning from the past eleven years have been ported to the new 432OS and the new OS is already being rolled out on all new servers since September 2024. Currently the web interface is largely identical as the old OS but further simplified to avoid common user mistakes, but the GUI design is to change in the future.

432 EVO tells us: “432OS not only improves the sound quality of the existing LMS and Roon backends and players, but is now more resilient against user mistakes including power failures, and the network speed has been significantly increased.

More third party players and backends will be added later, and 432 EVO’s roadmap is to update and enhance the new OS for the coming ten years, including security and sound quality updates, all via its own update server”.

432 EVO AEON

432 EVO has a long history of demonstrating its MASTER flagship at recent shows, with its true triple PSU with multiple per country specific transformers. At the DAE show the focus will be on the more affordable AEON (and also 432 EVO’s best seller) with its true dual external linear external PSU.

This year the focus is on a more accessible and affordable set:

The total budget of the demo set is approximately 20.000 euros and that was last year’s budget for just the Krypton3X speakers. The rest of the set is complemented with electronics that have proven to measure extremely well, including a power amp based on Eigentakt that 432 EVO itself uses with the One18 studio monitors from amphion, and a selection of DAC’s
