MÉTRONOME DSC DIGITAL SHARING CONVERTER RELEASED

The new Métronome DSC Digital Sharing Converter is the newest member of the French High End brand’s Digital Sharing family.

September 26th 2021 update – the manufacturer has been in touch with the great news that the Metronome DSC has now completed the Roon certification process and is Roon Certified from next week.

Except for Métronome’s classic piano-like front plate, everything inside Digital Sharing Converter is new, new DAC, streamer and digital preamplifier.

MÉTRONOME DSC

Métronome’s new DSC is a high-end D/A converter, including streaming and network playing functionality, with a patented digital volume control which makes it a preamplifier. The DSC is housed into a full aluminum chassis, opening at the front with a 5 inch touchscreen like the rest of the recent Métronome devices. The DAC will decode PCM files and DSD up to 512, while the new streaming board accepts all types of audio files up to DSD256.

LEEDH PROCESSING

The DSC can be managed with any DLNA/UPnP apps, but is particularly well adapted to  mConnect control, which embeds the main audiophile streaming services as Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, Deezer, and vTuner for internet radio.

The digital pre-amp resulted from a partnership with fellow French brand Leedh Processing, and is fully lossless, only modifying the signal amplitude without any further changes.

Jean Marie Clauzel, Owner and Designer of Metronome Technologie, precises: “Our Digital Sharing range has grown in popularity, showing that our choice to move the company to streaming was the right one. Plug-and-play, easy to use and stable, this is what we want with all our products”.
