MAX TOWNSHEND OF TOWNSHEND AUDIO
We have received the very sad news that Max Townshend of Townshend Audio has passed away on December 31st 2021.

Max Townshend was one of the true stalwarts of the UK (and beyond) audio scene and one of the industry’s great characters. Over the years he and his company have introduced a number of innovative products, many that we have reviewed, and that have a dedicated band of audiophile fans the world over.

Even more than his talents in the HiFi Industry, Max was also a thoroughly lovely chap, guaranteed to always make us laugh and always made us feel very welcome. We always said it ‘wasn’t a HiFi Show until you had seen Max’.

Our thoughts and love go out to Sue, Harriet, Toni and all the rest of the Townshend family and team. Max will be deeply missed by us as a friend and one of the people that make the HiFi Industry wonderful.
