ARCAM HAS UNVEILED THREE NEW AVRS AND A HIGH-PERFORMANCE AV PROCESSOR.
ARCAM has announced four new home cinema models: the ARCAM AVR11, the ARCAM AVR21, and the ARCAM AVR31 AV receivers and the ARCAM AV41 AV processor.
The launch heralds the arrival of the Cambridge maker’s most comprehensively equipped AV machines to date, enabling users to fully experience the latest audio-visual technologies.
8K ON ALL MODELS
All models embrace 8K@60fps; AURO-3D; Dolby Atmos; Dolby Vision; DTS:X; HDMI 2.1 with HDCP2.3; and HDR10+. The four also support Apple Airplay2; Bluetooth with aptX HD; Google Chromecast; MQA; Spotify Connect; Roon; and TIDAL Connect. When it comes to digital-to-analogue conversion, the ARCAM design team gives each machine dual ESS9026PRO audiophile DACs, together with ESS reference voltage regulators.
DIRAC LIVE
Even when equipped with the latest connectivity, the room will always impact a system’s sound quality. To solve this universal dilemma, ARCAM includes a room calibration mic and arms the new models with Dirac Live, advanced room correction software. Fully tuneable to your preference. ARCAM also readies its machines for Dirac Live Bass Control. Building on Dirac Live, Dirac Live Bass Management automatically maximise low-frequency performance from loudspeakers.
ARCAM AVR11 AND ARCAM AVR21 CLASS AB AMPLIFICATION
The AVR11 and AVR21 each power seven channels of Class AB power amplification, charting at 7 x 85 watts (all channels driven) and 7 x 110 watts (all channels driven), respectively. The pair’s AV decrypting powers are extensive, with the AVR11 featuring native 12-channel decoding and its elder sibling adding a further four channels. The AVR21 also adds an HDMI output to the AVR11’s pair, opening up the option of a Zone 2 set-up.
ARCAM AVR31 CLASS G AMPLIFICATION
The ARCAM design team has equipped the AVR31 with seven channels of Class G amplification. Class G implements multiple power supplies like a hybrid car engine rather than just a single supply. If a dynamic signal is received that goes beyond the capability of this first power supply, the secondary supply is gradually brought in up to full rated power output as required.
ARCAM AV41 AV PROCESSOR
The ARCAM AV41 is a high-performance AV processor, everything the AVRs support, this processor supports, and its rear panel provides XLR balanced outputs for all 16 channels to connect to power amplifiers. Designed, like all ARCAM AV equipment, for music and movies, the AV41 also pairs with its power amplifier stablemates, the PA720, PA240, and PA410.
