PRO-JECT E1 TURNTABLE FEATURES

The Pro-Ject E1 Plug-and-play manual turntable system features include electronically controlled playback speeds of 33 and 45 RPM. It has an 8.6” tonearm with aluminium tube, a two-point bearing assembly and a purpose-designed fixed headshell plus a pre-adjusted Ortofon OM 5E cartridge with an elliptical stylus profile. The wooden main plinth is mounted on anti-vibration feet. They are handmade in Europe and the dust cover is included.

PLINTH AND PLATTER

The E1 is based around a stylish main plinth, directly inspired by other Pro-Ject designs. It is a CNC machined composite fibre platform, which contains no hollow spaces, and, says Pro-Ject has excellent antiresonance properties. Mounted inside the plinth is a precision belt drive system with a damped DC motor, attached to a sub-platter. The sub-platter drives the new ABS Polymer main platter, which is strengthened with purpose-designed ridges in order to create an anti-resonant platform for vinyl. Automatic speed change is handled by the 3 position power switch on the side of the plinth.
