Artisan British HiFi furniture manufacturer, Solid-Sounds has announced the launch of their brand new Ladder turntable wall shelf.

SOLID-SOUNDS LADDER TURNTABLE WALL SHELF

Designed to complement their range of mid-century modern Ladder racking products this new turntable wall shelf offers its user a whole new suite of features which Paul Knipe of Solid-Sounds tells us have never before been seen on a turntable wall shelf.

SOLID CONSTRUCTION

The Solid-Sounds Ladder Turntable Wall Shelf has a rigid steel construction designed to support most turntables including heavy mass models. The connection to the wall is one of the most important aspects of installing a turntable wall shelf. The Ladder shelf utilises an ingenious French cleat style wall bracket making installing the shelf very straightforward for one person as you do not need to support a heavy shelf whilst drilling/fixing. The fixing bracket has multiple fixing points to ensure that it can be installed on most wall construction types. The integrated levelling bubble ensures that the bracket is installed easily and absolutely level.

SOLID-SOUNDS LADDER TURNTABLE WALL SHELF TUNEABILITY

The Ladder shelf offers a suite of options to tune its sonic performance to suit the deck that is being supported, so that you can tailor the shelf to your deck.

Options include a 20mm or 40mm thick shelf in a selection of real wood finishes or solid bamboo plus a range of satin paint colours, and all with Solid-Sounds signature integrated levelling bubble. A constrained layer dampened hybrid shelf is another option as is a CNC edged glass on ball-bearing tuning platform. Customers can also choose from traditional coupled steel spikes or Sorbathane decoupling levelling feet.

DECOUPLED UNDER HUNG SHELF

The Ladder shelf has the option to add a decoupled lower hung shelf which sits directly below the turntable. This additional storage is very useful for those with a dedicated turntable power supply or phono-stage that needs to be kept close to the turntable. Both the upper and lower shelves have a generous cable recess to enable mains cables and interconnects to pass through unimpeded.

LINN SONDEK LP12

Solid-Sounds has worked closely with the iconic British HiFi brand Linn, they make aftermarket plinths for the Linn Sondek LP12 and visitors to High End Munich 2022 will have seen the Solid-Sounds Ladder rack supporting the main system in the Linn demo room.

The Solid-Sounds Ladder Turntable Wall Shelf transforms into a jig to service your LP12

For the many Linn Sondek LP12 users, the Ladder shelf has another feature that will be of interest. By simply removing the wooden shelves your Ladder wall shelf instantly transforms into a fully functioning service/build jig. This is a very useful solution for those that want to maintain, service or install new upgraded parts on their LP12. Selecting this option means the shelf is supplied with a set of safety clamps, plinth protector blocks and a detachable side-hung parts store.
