Audison has announced the introduction of the Audison bit Play HD, the first high-resolution music player specifically for automotive applications. The bit Play HD is a hideaway component that can be used as part of a complete aftermarket package or added to most factory car audio systems as an enhancement. Intended to be professionally installed by any one of Audison’s network of authorized retailers, control of the bit Play HD can be managed from any Apple or Android phone or tablet.

With the recent introduction of home and portable players to the market, Audison say it is proud to be the first to bring this format to aftermarket car audio. The Audison bit Play HD will play FLAC audio files up to 24-bit/96KHz as well as 16-bit/44.1 files (CD quality) and even MP3 files.

Audison has developed apps for Apple and Android devices that enables complete control of the bit Play HD from the phone or tablets. The bit Play HD generates a Wi-Fi signal within the vehicle for reliable wireless connectivity. For head units equipped with a video input, the bit Play HD can be connected via HDMI or Composite outputs, enabling users to view the interface and directly control file navigation functions and all internal settings of the bit Play HD via supplied remote control. For storage of content, the bit Play HD SSD comes standard with an internal 240GB SSD hard drive that is said to be both fast and insensitive to the vibration and shaking that occur while driving. Users can also select the bit Play HD without the internal hard drive if they prefer to supply their own storage. Both bitPlay models can be used with two drives connected simultaneously (one internal, one external) for expanded storage capacity.

The Audison bit Play HD and bit Play HD SSD are available now from authorized Audison dealers with respective MSRP’s of $649 and $799.
