OPPO COMMISSION RESEARCH INTO THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC IN OUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE
OPPO has commissioned research, carried out by Mortar Research, of 2,000 British people in April 2022, to show how important music is in the lives of British people.
The findings are released as OPPO also announces their OPPO Enco X2 wireless earphones, created with Danish HiFi brand, Dynaudio, are also available in Black.
IF MUSIC BE THE FOOD OF LOVE
“If music be the food of love, play on…” When it comes to relaxing Brits’ famously stiff upper lip, it seems never a truer word was spoken. The research has revealed the degree to which music is the maestro in our lives, conducting our moods, evoking powerful memories, and even driving important decision-making to a crescendo.
Commissioned by global smart device brand OPPO, the research found that almost one in five Brits has been inspired by a song to declare their love for someone. The findings also showed that more than one in ten have been inspired to make a life-changing decision after hearing a particular track, and one in six have visited a holiday destination simply because it’s mentioned in a song.
MUSIC TO MOTIVATE
With eight in ten adults listening to at least 13 hours of music every week, 70% of Brits say that songs bring back memories, while almost 60% say that music can change their mood for the better.
More than 50% also state that the right soundtrack makes a great gym session over a bad one, while half of those surveyed also agreed that they have their own anthem that gets them motivated every day.
Speaking of the findings, Charleen Fang, Managing Director of OPPO UK and Ireland, commented: “It’s clear how important music is in our lives, and that it’s so much more than a form of entertainment. Knowing how significant music is in making life decisions, changing mood and bringing back memories is a catalyst for ensuring that we develop the very best technology that aids great listening experiences.”
OPPO ENCO X2 WIRELESS EARPHONES
The results come as OPPO launches its flagship Enco X2 wireless earphones in black, in addition to the classic white colourway. Priced at £169, the earphones have been co-created with audio brand Dynaudio, with adaptive noise cancellation and ergonomic design for a comfortable fit, as well as a long battery life of up to 40 hours.
SPOTIFY
The OPPO Enco X2 wireless earphones are compatible with all handsets, but using them with an OPPO smartphone unlocks additional personalisation features. OPPO recently announced a partnership with Spotify for OPPO’s latest ColorOS 13 Android-based operating system, offering smart and customised music experiences.
