The ANA technology (Neuro-Acoustic Alignment) is one of Margules’ technological innovations developed from the fundamental principle that the human brain perceives sound by prioritizing the harmonic structure above fundamental tone; that is, it focuses on how humans perceive sound and not on how we measure it.

Margules tells us that this technological advance originates from the seductive sound theory of engaging sound, and is based on the way in which our brain decodes the information from the sound waves through the ears. When sounds are closer, they keep us focused due to the relation between perception and sound, whereas distant sounds, often not catch our attention and are easily ignored.

Margules say that their ANA technology is designed to achieve a realistic sound, with a wide frequency response, low distortion, and accurate harmonic reproduction.

CARVED WOOD REMOTE

The SF-220 30TH has a carved wood remote control. All operations on this preamplifier are performed with gold-tipped electromagnetic relays, plus it features a motorised potentiometer to maintain the integrity of the analogue signal. A gold PCB plate is used along with other audiophile-grade elements.

POWER SUPPLY

The power supply in this Margules SF-220 30TH Preamplifier is a shunt type. Margules say they use it as it does not have a control loop circuit, and does not induce harmonics, thus maintaining the integrity of the audio signal.
