VASARI SHIBATA MM CARTRIDGE FROM GOLD NOTE
Gold Note of Italy has announced the release of a new member of the Vasari cartridges family, the Gold Note Vasari Shibata.
Designed, as the name suggests, by Mr Shibata in the 70s, this MM cartridge features a peculiar shape of the stylus, which is basically an evolution of the elliptical shape with extra special cuts on one end creating a hybrid asymmetrical shape.
GOLD NOTE VASARI SHIBATA
The new Vasari Shibata, with its special stylus, allows for an increase of the total contact surface area with a reduction of total pressure into the vinyl groove. Gold Note says that the result is that the Vasari Shibata can produce a “nearly perfect playback reaching all areas of the vinyl groove but reducing the wear of both the record and the diamond”.
VASARI GOLD & RED
The Vasari cartridge is also available in the two original models, the Gold made of a duralumin body and the Red made of a special ultra-damping photopolymer body. Both feature an output level of 4mV. You can read the HiFi PiG review of them here from 2017.
