CLARUS UNVEILS NEW PHONO AND AC POWER CABLES
Florida based Clarus release new Clarus Crimson and Clarus Aqua phono cables and MKII Crimson and Aqua AC power cables.
CLARUS CRIMSON AND CLARUS AQUA PHONO CABLES
Clarus has announced the launch of two new series of phono cables – Clarus Aqua and Clarus Crimson.
Clarus Aqua and Crimson Phono Cables are single-ended pairs featuring a 14AWG silver-plated PCCC Ground Cable. Aqua comes with double shielding, while Crimson has triple shielding to protect the delicate phono signal. The Ground Cable is designed to ensure a solid ground connection, preventing the occurrence of a disruptive 60Hz hum by ensuring the turntable’s mechanical system shares the same grounding potential as the phono stage component.
Custom-made to order by the craftsmen at Gordon J. Gow Technologies headquarters in Orlando, FL,USA, Clarus Aqua and Clarus Crimson phono cables are available as packaged pairs.
CLARUS CRIMSON AND CLARUS AQUA PHONO CABLES PRICE

CLARUS CRIMSON AND CLARUS AQUA MARK II AC POWER CABLES
In addition to the new turntable cables, Gordon J. Technologies Inc. also introduced two new series of Clarus Crimson and Aqua Mark II AC Power cables.
The Clarus Crimson and Aqua AC Power cables use a design with heavy multi-gauge, individually insulated PCCC conductors geometrically arranged in alternating lays and twists, designed to cancel out high-frequency noise residing on the AC line, thereby reducing distortion. To protect the power cables from extraneous noise generated by Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), they are surrounded by heavy shielding consisting of an aluminium foil wrap and a 90% silver-plated copper braided shield.
PROPRIETARY CONNECTORS
The Clarus Mark II power cable design features proprietary connectors and termination processes, to improve electrical and thermal conductivity.
Clarus Mark II power cables come with proprietary Nema 5-15P male US Type B and female IEC C15 connectors. To prevent accidental disconnection, Clarus has implemented a proprietary high-retention C15 connector with a raised collar that securely fits and maintains a reliable connection when plugged into an IEC receptacle.
The cable’s multi-layered shield is connected to the source connector end only, which they say sends noise to the ground. The Mark II connector housing is wrapped in brass covered with lightweight carbon fibre and sealed with an aluminium collar to further safeguard the signal path from noise interference.
