Many music lovers dream of being present at a live recording, and this wish can come true on October 27^th during Analog Days 2023, or Analogtage in German. There is also a 20% ticket discount for HiFi PiG readers.

As part of the 4th Analogue Days 2023, organised by HiFi manufacturer Lehmannaudio in cooperation with partners Thorens, Technics, Luxman and the FinkTeam, an international band of top musicians will play live in front of an audience at the legendary Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg. This concert will also be streamed at the same time and recorded directly onto analogue tape. Afterward, a record will be pressed from this master tape without further post-processing.

BAUER STUDIOS

Bauer Studios is the most experienced private recording studio in Germany. Since the 70s and 80s, stars such as Keith Jarret, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder and many others have played here. This inspiring ambience will be the setting for a concert for which jazz singer Elisabeth Lohninger, who has been living in New York for over 20 years, has chosen four fellow musicians.

In her songs, Elisabeth will take the audience on an emotional journey from the streets of New York City to the Austrian Salzkammergut.

Joining her for the performance and recording will be:

Christine Corvisier from France on saxophone enriches the music of the quintet with her energy and lyrical playing. Her last three own albums received very positive reviews in the national jazz press.

Jean-Yves Jung, the French pianist has made a name for himself through collaborations with Billy Cobham, Dee Dee Bridgewater and many others.

Cliff Schmitt, the US bassist, has played thousands of concerts and has conquered the stages of New York, Paris, Berlin and Rio De Janeiro with his versatile talent.

Alex Bernath, the Cologne-based jazz and groove drummer, brings his rhythmic diversity to the band and has already played with greats such as Gregory Porter, Roachford and Branford Marsalis.

The concert with this exceptional ensemble starts on Friday 27.10.2023 at 19:00.
