FYNE AUDIO OPENS NEW GLASGOW FACTORY TO UNDERPIN COMMITMENT TO UK MANUFACTURING
Fyne Audio has opened a new, large Scottish loudspeaker manufacturing facility to build on its ongoing success seven years after launch.
As Fyne Audio opens their new Glasgow factory, it marks a significant enhancement in the brand’s commitment to UK craftsmanship, doubling their UK production capacity.
FYNE AUDIO OPENS NEW GLASGOW FACTORY
Since its inception in 2017, Fyne Audio has been dedicated to creating loudspeakers that showcase the British HiFi brand”s expertise in loudspeaker design, alongside the brand’s bespoke technologies such as the innovative point-source IsoFlare driver and unique BassTrax bass porting system.
“We are incredibly proud of our new factory, building on the brand’s success over the past seven years. Creating Fyne Audio and bringing multiple ranges of award-winning loudspeakers to markets worldwide has been a significant achievement, and our new facility will stand as the foundation of our future growth plans. The move allows us to deliver even more products that sound extraordinary, look superb and are built to the highest standards here in the UK”.
Anji Sosna, Managing Director of Fyne Audio
If you want to see just how popular this brand has become globally, in a very short space of time, you only have to visit an international show, like the Hong Kong AV Show, where the Fyne Audio room is absolutely packed the whole time.
UNDER ONE ROOF
The new facility amplifies this dedication by unifying the UK R&D, development, engineering and production process under one roof – from the initial design sketches by Dr Mills to the final assembly, finishing and testing. The new facility will speed up the implementation of the brand’s latest technologies, patents and innovations, bringing exciting new loudspeaker models to market sooner.
Having outgrown its existing HQ and outsourced warehousing spaces, the new site spans nearly 50,000 square feet, with over 20,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space. The site has been purchased outright by Fyne Audio, allowing the brand to further expand manufacturing and warehousing space at its Glasgow home into the future.
With on-site quality assurance for every loudspeaker made, this will go hand-in-hand with the impeccable build quality and luxurious finishes that have become the hallmark of Fyne Audio loudspeakers.
DR PAUL MILLS
A key highlight of the new factory is the integration of Dr Paul Mills and his expert engineering and design team within the same facility as the manufacturing operations. This synergy fosters a seamless workflow between concept and creation, enabling rapid iteration and refinement of designs. The proximity of the teams ensures that engineering innovations can be tested and flow through the manufacturing process more quickly.
NEW LISTENING ROOM
The new factory features a new purpose-built listening room designed for the fine-tuning and critical listening of new loudspeakers. These demo spaces provide an ideal environment for the team to perfect each model.
FYNE AUDIO DEEP CRYOGENIC TREATMENT CHAMBER
The new factory is being fitted out to house Fyne’s design, development, manufacturing and engineering facilities, including its own Deep Cryogenic Treatment chamber. This allows components like high-end crossovers to be treated on-site, giving even greater control of temperature and freeze/thaw timings.
SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURE
As part of its long-term vision, Fyne Audio is also committed to sustainability, with plans to install around 400 solar panels on the factory roof. This initiative will generate more than enough power to run the entire facility and sell surplus energy back to the grid, reflecting Fyne Audio’s dedication to environmentally responsible manufacturing.
