FIIO UNVEILS TRIO NEW AUDIO PRODUCTS AT CES 2025

FiiO has announced three new products at CES 2025: the FiiO K17 headphone amplifier, the FiiO S15 full-size streamer, and the FiiO JM21 portable music player.

All will be unveiled this week at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

FiiO K17: HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER WITH TOUCHSCREEN AND STREAMING CAPABILITIES

The FiiO K17 is priced at £899, this unit integrates a 3.93-inch touchscreen for seamless control and supports streaming, Bluetooth, and local USB playback. With RCA inputs, the K17 doubles as an ideal companion for turntables, bridging digital and analogue audio sources.

Built with AKM’s flagship DAC chips (AK4191 and dual AK4499EX), the K17 offers audiophile-grade sound with its 31-band PEQ, fully balanced audio architecture, and 4000mW per channel output. It also features three femtosecond oscillators for ultra-low phase noise and a 35W linear power supply. Users can customise their experience further using the FiiO Connect app, which allows adjustments to PEQ settings and touchscreen visuals, such as retro-style VU meters.

The K17 can function as a standalone headphone amplifier or as the core of a hi-fi system when paired with active speakers. It’s expected to release in late January 2025.

FiiO S15: FLAGSHIP FULL-SIZE STREAMER WITH ADVANCED FEATURES

The FiiO S15 is FiiO’s first full-size streamer, priced at £999. Its centrepiece is a large 7.8-inch touchscreen running a custom Android 12-based FiiO OS. The S15 features an AK4191+AK4499EX DAC setup, a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. An M.2 hard drive slot and cage enable seamless expansion.

Key features include Roon Ready certification and FiiO’s proprietary Digital Audio Purification System (DAPS), designed to optimise the purity of digital audio signals. The S15 supports high-resolution playback up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512 (native), with multiple input and output options, including HDMI, coaxial, and optical ports. Bluetooth capabilities include advanced codecs like LDAC and aptX HD.

The product is set to launch in late January 2025.

FiiO JM21: PORTABLE MUSIC PLAYER FOR AUDIO ENTHUSIASTS

Rounding out the new releases is the FiiO JM21 portable music player, priced at 199.99 USD, 199.99 EUR or £179.99. This slim (13mm) and lightweight (165g) device is powered by Android 13 and features dual CS43198 DACs, a Snapdragon 680 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.

The JM21 supports high-resolution audio up to 384kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD256 (native) and offers a MicroSD slot for up to 2TB of expandable storage. Connectivity options include 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), and Bluetooth. With a 4.7-inch bezel-less display and 12-hour battery life, it’s designed for both portability and performance.

The JM21 is also scheduled for release in late January 2025.
