AVID ALTUS V2 AND AVID NEXUS V2 TONEARMS INTRODUCED WITH ADVANCED BIAS CONTROL TECHNOLOGY
Cambridgeshire-based HiFi manufacturer AVID has launched the AVID Altus V2 and AVID Nexus V2 tonearms as part of its 30th-anniversary celebrations.
These updated models build upon the versions introduced in 2023, incorporating advancements to improve tracking accuracy and sound quality.
AVID BIAS CONTROL SYSTEM
A key enhancement in the V2 tonearms is AVID’s new bias control technology. Research by the company revealed that the optimal bias force varies across the record surface. With higher force required at the beginning and end, and less in the middle, this innovative system allows for precise adjustments tailored to each record section. This ensures consistently high performance and enhanced playback fidelity.

AVID’s unique design reflects the company’s focus on precision engineering. The new tonearms offer improved tracking accuracy, catering to the nuances of different cartridge stylus profiles. These updates underscore AVID’s commitment to mechanical design excellence and exceptional listening experiences.
