ACOUSTIC ENERGY LAUNCHES REDESIGNED 300 SERIES LOUDSPEAKERS AT BRISTOL 2025

Acoustic Energy has unveiled its completely redesigned Acoustic Energy 300 Series loudspeakers, drawing on developments from the high-end Corinium project.

The new range includes the AE300² standmount, AE309² and AE320² floorstanders, and the AE307² LCR model. Every component has been re-engineered, with no parts carried over from the previous generation.

ACOUSTIC ENERGY 300 SERIES

At the heart of the Acoustic Energy 300 Series is a brand-new mid-woofer, crafted from a unique mix of paper and coconut husk. This material blend delivers a refined, natural response while combining the warmth and clarity of paper with the dynamic punch of traditional aluminium cones, says Acoustic Energy. High frequencies are handled by a newly developed soft-dome tweeter, adapted from the Corinium project.

RSC™ CABINET TECHNOLOGY

The new 300 Series introduces constrained layer RSC™ (Resonance Suppression Composite) cabinets, a construction method first used in Acoustic Energy’s Reference Series. By reducing cabinet resonance, this design allows for a purer, uncoloured sound. The floorstanding models have been refined with slimmer profiles, and the AE307² LCR model features an ultra-shallow sealed box with a passive radiator for flexible wall-mounting options.

ADVANCED CROSSOVER AND ACOUSTIC TUNING

Taking inspiration from the Corinium project, the crossover network in the Acoustic Energy 300 Series has been engineered to minimise phase distortion.

NEW FINISH AND DESIGN REFINEMENTS

Moving away from the high-gloss finishes of the previous models, the 300 Series now features a durable ‘silk-touch’ matte material. The new aesthetic is complemented by colour-coordinated trims, solid aluminium feet for the floorstanding models, and premium grille fabrics.

ACOUSTIC ENERGY 300 SERIES PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

Available in walnut, matte black, or matte white finishes, the Acoustic Energy 300 Series will be available in the UK from early March. Prices start at £649 for the AE300² standmount and go up to £1,999 for the AE320² floorstander.
