PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SERIES MARKS 50TH ANNIVERSARY MILESTONE
In celebration of its 50th anniversary, American HiFi brand PS Audio has unveiled the PS Audio PMG Signature Series, a new flagship range designed to redefine the brand’s performance standards.
Named after Paul McGowan, the PS Audio PMG Signature Series was launched at AXPONA 2025.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SERIES
The series includes four models: the PMG Signature Preamplifier, PMG Signature 512 PureStream DAC, PMG Signature Phono Preamplifier, and PMG Signature SACD Transport.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE PREAMPLIFIER
The Paul McGowan Signature Preamplifier takes its place as PS Audio’s top-tier preamp, featuring a fully balanced, dual-chassis design. Engineered by Darren Myers, it operates in pure Class A and boasts a gain stage that blends FET and BJT technologies. Notably, it employs a topology that enhances bandwidth and signal integrity while reducing distortion, with no electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and an ultra-low noise floor of -150dB.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE 512 PURESTREAM DAC
At the heart of the PMG Signature 512 DAC lies PS Audio’s new PureStream DSD512 engine. This architecture avoids PCM processing entirely, instead converting all digital signals into an 8X-DSD stream. A 64-tap SpectraWave filter then refines the signal before it reaches a fully balanced, direct-coupled output stage. The DAC also includes galvanically isolated inputs, PS Audio’s Digital Lens re-clocking system, and a built-in streamer, positioning it as a hub for high-performance digital audio systems.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE PHONO PREAMPLIFIER
Designed with both moving coil and moving magnet cartridges in mind, the PMG Signature Phono Preamplifier offers a fully discrete FET topology, remote-controlled loading and gain, and zero global feedback. The transimpedance input option provides a pure and uncoloured path for MC cartridges, while a traditional voltage input with adjustable settings offers flexibility.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SACD TRANSPORT
The PMG Signature SACD Transport revives the value of optical media with advanced galvanic isolation and ultra-low jitter design. It delivers pristine DSD data to external DACs via I²S, allowing access to the native DSD layer of SACDs. PS Audio’s new galvanically isolated output stage is also included.

DESIGN AND BUILD FOCUS ON PERFORMANCE AND ELEGANCE
All models in the PMG Signature Series share a distinctive aesthetic, with 1.5-inch thick machined aluminium front panels, curved profiles, and intuitive touch-sensitive controls. Each unit comes with a newly designed remote control and is available in either silver or black. Internally, components feature multi-layer circuit boards, premium parts, and a chassis-within-a-chassis structure to reduce mechanical and electrical interference.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SERIES AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
The PS Audio PMG Signature Series components will be available in Q3 2025. Each model is priced at a suggested US retail of $8,499.
