Weiss will show their latest product, the DAC501 / DAC502 D/A Converters at this year’s Swiss High-End and stream live binaural jazz.

This DAC has several DSP capabilities, one of it is crosstalk cancellation, which is very good for playback of binaurally recorded music. So Weiss plan to have a large video screen and play streams from the Moods Jazz Club in Zurich.
Moods streams live and from archives and they also have what they call Ambeo streams, which are recorded via a Neumann dummy head with supporting microphones added via the Sennheiser Ambeo plug-in as far as I understand.

This presentation will show what is possible today with live streams and binaural playback via speakers. A “being there” experience.
