Beth Nielsen Chapman, a 2016 inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and a twice Grammy-nominated sing-songwriter, is the newest addition to the ever-growing roster of high profile artists appearing at Festival of Sound, the Music and Audio Show (28-30 September 2018). 

Taking to the stage on the evening of Saturday 29 September, Beth Nielsen Chapman will be showcasing her latest album ‘Heart of Glass’ as well as a selection of songs from her back catalogue of 12 albums and songs she has written for other artists including Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Michael McDonald, Keb Mo’, Roberta Flack, Waylon Jennings, Indigo Girls, and Faith Hill’s Mega-hit This Kiss.

Marantz will be celebrating Brand Ambassador Ken Ishiwata’s 40thanniversary with the launch of the KI Ruby series. Ken has been the driving force behind many of the brands most successful products and will be at Festival of Sound hosting demonstrations of the new KI Ruby products. Marantz will also be demonstrating a selection of its Hifi separates, partnered with the new Definitive Technology Demand Series loudspeakers on the 3rdFloor.

Also on the 3rdFloor Denon will be demonstrating the new 800 series HiFi separates with the new Polk Audio Signature E series loudspeakers. On the 1stFloor, in the Cremant Suite, Denon will be demonstrating a number of headphone models, including the New AH-D5200 which features superb craftsmanship with an authentic Zebrawood housing.

Connected Distribution, UK distributor of the USA’s Parasound electronics and France’s Cabasse loudspeakers, will be bringing the latest products from these two well respected brands to Festival of Sound. Parasound has had a long relationship with the legendary designer, John Curl, and the show system will feature three JC badged products. The new JC5 stereo power amplifier, JC3 JR phono stage and JC2 BP pre-amplifier will be showing just why John Curl is so revered in audiophile circles.

Cabasse has long championed the benefits of coaxial drive units and the new Murano Alto speakers will be demonstrating this technology alongside bass drive units, also derived from the flagship La Sphère speaker system.

Taking its place in room D8 Sauternes on the 2ndFloor of the show, CAD will be demonstrating a number of its digital audio products, including the 1543 MKII DAC, partnered with the CAD Audio Transport (CAT). Supporting CAD in the demonstrations will be the Trilogy Audio amplifiers and CAD will be using its GC1 and GC3 Ground Controls and USB cables.

This year’s Festival of Sound is going to be even more music focused.  Most of the exhibitors and brands from the audio, headphone, portable audio and streaming sectors that exhibited at the first two shows are returning, such as Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Naim, PMC, Vertere Acoustic and Yamaha. The popular headroom™ headphones event will also be present along with additional exhibitors and brands from musical instruments and other music related sectors.

In addition, live music will be in abundance, with artists performing throughout the weekend including Chris Difford of Squeeze, James Lavelle & Philip Sheppard, Art of Noise co-founders JJ Jeczalik and Gary Langan, Unsung Singers, Antonio Forcione and many more.
