HARMAN Luxury Audio Group presents Arcam, JBL Synthesis, Mark Levinson and Revel at The Bristol Hifi Show 2019.
HARMAN Luxury Audio Group have five well known brands in their stable, Arcam, JBL Synthesis, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, and Revel. Each with its own array of skillsets, and the Bristol Hifi Show 2019 is the place to experience the latest models from four of the quintet.
Visitors to Stand 12 in the Bristol Suite will quickly get a feel for the ‘DNA’ of JBL Synthesis. Founded in 1992 – JBL itself dates back to the 1940s – the last 27 years have seen the JBL Synthesis teams advanced signal processors, equalisers, amplifiers and loudspeakers. The current line counts instantly recognisable models, including the L100 Classic, which receives its UK show debut. This new speaker is the modern take on the legendary L100.
Head up to Empire 2, on the hotel’s first floor, and you can hear the L100 Classic in all its glory. Here, the 21st Century version of the speaker from ‘that Maxell break the sound barrier advert’ teams with Arcam’s HDA range. A second demo system teams the JBL K2 S9900 with electronics from Mark Levinson. Visitors can lay ears and eyes on the American maker’s new 5000 Series, as well as its No 515 turntable, No 519 Audio Player No 523 preamplifier, plus a brace of No 536 monaural amplifiers. As well as the two demo systems, visitors to Empire 2 can view display models, including Revel’s Concerta2 M16 bookshelf speakers and models from its Performa Be Series, complete with the new range’s beryllium tweeter.
