Last year, the rising singer unveiled her debut record, the dark, pulsing Where I Go To Disappear, ahead of her tour with Peter, Bjorn & John. Now, she’s partnered with MXDWN to share her cryptic video for standout “American Psycho”, a perfect distillation of the murky electronica she specializes in.

Georgi Kay, the stage name of the UK-born Georgina Kingsley, has been playing in bands since her early teens, but it wasn’t until she lost (or won, depending on your perspective) a game of pick-up sticks meant to select her high school band’s new lead singer that she discovered that she could sing.

With a love for creating and looping electronic beats, bass, synths and vocal chops, Georgi Kay is a 25-year-old British-Australian artist based in Los Angeles who has received multiple awards for her original work, songwriting and collaborations over the years.

She has won both an ARIA Award, multiple APRA Awards and received a Grammy nomination for her song “In My Mind” with Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell. Her voice has featured in numerous DJ sets worldwide by some of music’s biggest names and she has collaborated with international EDM/dance artists including Tiesto, Kaskade, Lipless, Matt Nash, Faruk Sabanci and many more.

Georgi has also toured with and supported Ed Sheeran, Tash Sultana, INXS and is set to support Peter, Bjorn & John on their East Coast US tour this November, following her shows in Canada at Indie Week Music Festival – Toronto’s biggest emerging artist showcase.

Gathering inspiration from old sci-fi and horror films, elements of deep house, 80’s inspired synths and a love for the weird and the macabre – audiences around the world have been seduced by GEORGI’s hypnotic and energetic live shows, her brooding, husky vocal tones and her honest, symbolic and often ambiguous songwriting – always leaving them wanting more.

The new music video is followed by the announcement of a USA tour.
