A Lincoln Hifi shop, which closed in February, has been given a new lease of life following a major investment by Nottingham audio-visual group In Phase International, who are also behind the recent relaunch of the Nottingham Hifi Centre.

Superfi Lincoln on Lincoln High Street, which has been open for over 50 years, was forced to close after experiencing the difficult trading conditions that are affecting large numbers of Britain’s retailers.

In Phase International

However, following the investment of over £100,000 from In Phase International, which is likely to rise as new brands are introduced, the store has reopened following refurbishment, including two demonstration rooms, safeguarding the jobs of the existing team and with more forecast.

Store manager, Paul said; ‘The last few months have been incredibly challenging and it looked like the store would sadly be gone for good, which was a huge shame for our loyal customers who have been with us through thick and thin. It’s great to get the new store open and showcase some new and exciting products that we know our customers will love. It’s been amazing to just say hello again to our customers who have come in to let us know how happy they are we’re back.

In-Car Entertainment

With the new investment from In Phase International we are partnering with investors who are not only hugely experienced, with over 30 years in the market but also massively passionate about all things audio. We’ve been selling their award-winning Road Angel dashcams for some time now and the new partnership will see more in-car entertainment and technology being stocked by us. Add to this a fantastic range of specialist home cinema solutions and new brands that we have not previously had access to, including Primare and AudioVector and it’s a really exciting time for us and our customers once again.’

Gary Digva, Sales Director at In Phase International said; ‘Lincoln Superfi is an icon in this city for anyone passionate about music and that absolutely includes me and my fellow directors. Lincoln has always been held in high regard and when we read about Superfi’s challenges we thought that not only could we help, we could actually take the business to the next level with our industry relationships and access to new manufacturers and brands. They have always had an unrivalled product range, many of which were brands that were exclusively available here and we were really keen to keep the existing team on as they have incredible knowledge and great customer relationships. We want to take their expertise in the home Hifi market and add our own from the car audio market and get this business back to where it belongs at the cutting edge of entertainment systems.’
