VISIT ABSOLUTE SOUNDS AT THE UK HIFI SHOW LIVE 2024 AT ASCOT

At Ascot Racecourse this weekend you will be able to visit High End UK distributor Absolute Sounds at The UK HiFi Show Live 2024.

Absolute Sounds will exhibit in a huge area on Level 5 of the Ascot Racecourse Grandstand, the venue for The UK HiFi Show Live.

The latest launches from many of the world’s most prestigious high-end brands will be showcased by Absolute Sounds in this grand space, incorporating two dedicated listening rooms.

Absolute Sounds’ Ricardo Franassovici and representatives of his brands including Several brand representatives are travelling to Ascot to assist Absolute Sounds with demonstrations, including David Gordon (Audio Research); Bill McKiegan (Dan D’Agostino); David Steven and Raveen Bawa (dCS); Peter Mackay (Magico); and David Ellington and Peter McGrath (Wilson Audio), will all be at the show.

ANTIPODES AUDIO OLADRA

One of the debuts from Absolute Sounds is the new G4 edition of the Oladra by Antipodes Audio – the latest addition to Absolute Sounds’ distribution portfolio.

As well as a music server for local music storage, the Oladra – Antipodes’ top-tier model – is also a player/streamer (without onboard DAC) and reclocker. Launched in its original ‘G3’ form in 2023, it uses premium parts throughout and embodies Antipodes’ four-step approach, the first step is optimised to run the server app, the second step is optimised to run the player app, the third step isolates and regenerates the output signal, and the last step reclocks the output signal that goes to the DAC.The Oladra is priced at £28,888.

ABSOLUTE SOUNDS DEMOS AT THE SHOW

The Absolute Sounds space on Level 5 of the Ascot Racecourse Grandstand incorporates two demo rooms.

Wilson Audio’s ‘remastered’ WATT/Puppy speakers will be demonstrated in one room, with Magico’s 2024-edition S3 speakers in the other. These will be joined by digital sources and DACs from Antipodes and dCS; turntables from Döhmann and Thiele; amplification from Audio Research, Constellation, Dan D’Agostino, HSE Swiss and PrimaLuna; cables from Ikigai and Transparent; and equipment supports from Artesania.
