Acoustic Energy have announced the launch of their new Aego BT2 Bluetooth loudspeaker, the third launch under its new British ownership and in time for their 30th Anniversary year.
The Aego BT2 features an aluminium chassis, a power rating of 40watts RMS, bespoke twin 2.5 inch drivers and large side-firing bass radiators.
For optimal stereo imaging performance it also has a Stereolink mode where two speakers can be used as a stereo pair. The top mounted tactile push button controls make control and pairing easy. The BT2 also supports Bluetooth 4.2 and Apt-X Low Latency for video playback without lipsync issues.
Other features include USB phone charging, an analogue input and a microphone for hands free calling for real world versatility. This is backed up by a battery life of up to 36 hours allowing for everyday use around the home or garden.
“Having been one of the first to introduce a Bluetooth loudspeaker, back in 2006 with mobile network Orange, we thought it was time to launch a new model! The design brief was to create the best performing model at the price, without compromise. We think we’ve achieved that.” Commented James Luce, chief designer. “The solid construction and long battery life make it ideal for easy placement around the home, whilst the stylish, modern, clean design fits easily into any interior.”
The new BT2 is available from authorised retailers, selected high street stores and direct from the AE website during June with a UK SRP of £249.
