Following the success of the international talent search, Global Remix Battle Powered by PMC Speakers, the team behind the event is launching a second edition, which will run from 30th May to 12th September 2019. One lucky individual will win a pair of PMC result6 nearfield monitors as well as a management contract and mentorship from Afrojack.

In keeping with the first event, Global Remix Battle II is an international talent search involving Grammy-winning DJ and producer Afrojack, record label Wall Recordings, artist management company LDH Europe and UK loudspeaker manufacturer PMC.

Global Remix Battle

Thousands of producers and remixers from all over the world entered the first Global Remix Battle and the five overall winners were announced in March 2019. They included Dutch producer Buzz Low and Japanese producer SLAY, both of whom have now signed contracts with artist management company LDH Europe and had their remixes released on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings label.  Buzz Low was also chosen by PMC as the recipient of a pair of result6 compact nearfield reference monitors, the same monitors that Afrojack has in his own studio. Another pair will be given away this year to one of the winners from Global Remix Battle II.

“We are delighted to be once again supporting this innovative project and we’re anticipating plenty of exciting remixes from producers around the globe,” says PMC’s Creative Director Keith Tonge. “The last contest unleashed a huge amount of creativity; the exceptional quality of the tracks that were submitted made it very difficult to choose a recipient for our result6 nearfield monitors. Whoever wins this year can rest assured that the high resolution, razor-sharp imaging, extended bass and consistent tonal balance at all levels of PMC’s result6 nearfield monitors will bring the ultimate in clarity to their future recordings and mixes.”

To enter the competition, all up and coming producers must remix Switch, a track by Afrojack, Jewelz & Sparks and Emmalyn, which can be downloaded and, once remixed, submitted for consideration via the Afrojack website.

Every entry will be listened to and assessed by Afrojack and teams from LDH Europe and Wall Recordings, with the winners being announced in September via Afrojack’s social media channels. As well as management contracts with LDH Europe and a chance to have their remix released on Wall Recordings, winners will also receive mentorship from Afrojack who has helped build careers for many artists and producers including Quintino, R3hab, Fais and MC Ambush.
