AIR VIVACE LOUDSPEAKER LAUNCH
Air Loudspeakers unveiled the Air Vivace loudspeaker, which has been developed in South Africa over the past few years. The Air Vivace is entirely designed and built in South Africa and has a striking, functional design,
The design is a 3-way system designed to be compatible with valve amplifiers, including single-ended triodes (SETs). It is constructed around Audio Technology drivers, some of which were customized specifically for this project. The cabinet features a Carbon Fiber core and a distinct carbon fibre midrange capsule with an organic shape with no parallel walls. These enclosures are integrated into a high-mass aluminium baffle, top and bottom plates secured together using aluminium rods. A port tuned for lowest distortion levels make sure that system sound at its best even at moderate listening levels. The design is completed with solid walnut panels and slates, demonstrating the principles of constraint layer throughout the construction. The Air-Interfaces, which serve as the speaker’s feet, were specially designed and produced from carbon fibre, also based on constraint layer principles.
