The Power Two is Alluxity’s second stereo amplifier and a visual match for the Pre Two preamplifier.

Alluxity is the brainchild of Alexander Vitus-Mogensen (AVM), the son of Hans-Ole Vitus of Vitus Audio. Over the course of many years, Alexander learned the ropes of high-end, high-performance, and vertically integrated manufacturing. As a result, Alluxity performs all engineering, development, and manufacturing in-house at their facility in Herning, Denmark.

The Danish Alluxity Power Two Stereo Amplifier

Alluxity Power Two

The third solid-state power amplifier from Alluxity, the Power Two produces 200W into 8 ohms and 400W into 4 ohms. The monolithic machined chassis is small and compact, with a Scandinavian minimalist design ethos. All input and amplification circuitry is linear, however, and no switching or Class-D circuitry is used in the audio path. The amplifier’s input section is differentially balanced and features discrete gain stages, designed and built in-house by Alluxity, to significantly reduce noise and distortion. Both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs are available. The Power Two also features a robust output section derived from the power amplifier portion of Alluxity’s Int One integrated amplifier, and can easily drive reasonable loudspeakers to realistic levels. Control and status are available via a full-colour, front panel LCD touch screen.

Casework

The Power Two’s casework is machined from a solid billet of aluminium and is available in four colours as standard: silver, black, white, and titanium orange. Custom colours are available for an additional fee.

The Power Two is an aesthetic and physical match for the Pre Two streaming preamplifier, featuring the same width, height, and depth as the preamp to finally create a matched pair of components. The Power Two now enables the user to place a complete Alluxity audio system in common shelving or cabinetry with no drawbacks. The Power Two also makes for a less costly option vs. Alluxity’s larger stereo power amplifier, the Power One ($10,600).
