Aqua, of Milan, Italy, produce the La Voce DAC which is a modular design. They have just announced the new D/A conversion module for La Voce S3 with Discrete R2R Ladder DAC architecture.
Owners of original La Voce can upgrade to La Voce S3 Discrete DAC. The update for the La Voce units of existing owners consists of the following hardware / firmware modifications:
FPGA / decoding board cod. P608, high-resolution up to 384kHz PCM and DSD128.
Last month we brought you the details of Italian brand Aqua's new DAC module upgrade. You can read all the details here The stand-alone, complete La Voce S3 Discrete DAC unit will be shown for the first time at AXPONA 2018.
The Formula DAC is the first in the aqua - acoustic production to show a proprietary D/A conversion system, that they have named Optologic DAC. This conversion system follows the same multibit technology (already used in the previous DACs such as La Voce and La Scala) but with a discrete R2R resistors ladder instead of Burr Brown PCM1704 dacs. Galvanic and magnetic isolations are implemented between…
Aqua Acoustic Quality, of Milan Italy have released a new updated DAC, the Formula xHD. The Formula xHD features the following upgrades and modifications as compared to the Formula DAC: - New firmware release 3.0 for the main FPGA (DAC) with optimisation of the code - New USB board with hybrid architecture cod. A108 Features Proprietary hybrid 2-stage XMOS xCore…
