Atlas Cables of Scotland has announced the launch of the Atlas Achromatic X RCA Plug, an upgraded connector now implemented across its entire cable range.

The new design builds on the legacy of the Atlas Integra RCA plug, enhancing conductivity, durability, and signal purity.

IMPROVED MATERIALS AND ENGINEERING

The Achromatic X RCA features a highly refined solid OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) pin, chosen for its superior conductivity and enhanced signal transfer.

COLD WELD TERMINATION FOR BETTER CONNECTIONS

Atlas has implemented a calibrated cold weld process, eliminating the need for solder. They say that this method creates a seamless and highly conductive connection, preserving signal integrity and reducing potential weak points in the signal path.

ATLAS ACHROMATIC X RCA PLUG SELF-CLEANING CONTACTS

The new RCA plug incorporates asymmetrical plug contacts that maintain a clean connection surface over time. This self-cleaning design helps reduce signal degradation and ensures reliable, high-quality performance over extended use.

NON-CONDUCTIVE, LOW-MASS PLUG BODY

Constructed from high-stability ABS material, the Achromatic X RCA plug eliminates interference and prevents circulating eddy currents.
