AUDEN BRING HEGEL, AMPHION, LUPHONIC AND MORE TO NWAS 2024

Auden Distribution will be bringing the very best products from their carefully selected international HiFi brands to Cranage Hall for the North West Audio Show 2024.

This year Auden are showing two systems that have been designed to illustrate how good an ‘all in one’ amplifier can be. There is also the first showing in the UK of the new turntable brand, Luphonic. Read on to find out what Bill and his team are bringing to the show….

HEGEL AND AMPHION

THE BELL SUITE

The Bell Suite will have the Hegel H600 amplifier with built-in streamer driving the flagship Amphion Krypton3X. Auden launched the Krypton3X to the UK at the 2023 event, and they went down a storm. The Hegel H600 is an extremely capable integrated amplifier with the latest digital platform from the brand. The combination of Hegel and Amphion is one that we at HiFi PiG really do enjoy, so make sure you get to the Bell Suite to check this system out!

The Bell suite is conveniently located through the bar area on the lower floor of the show.

ROOM 121

In room 121,  Auden will have the Hegel H190V, a new updated version of the brand’s best-selling amplifier. It now has a phono stage and revised output stage giving a nice upgrade and making it a great option for box count reduction while maintaining performance. This will be playing through the Amphion stand mount models doing comparative listening demos between the Amphion Argon 0, 1, and 3.

Both systems will be using Audiomica cables and MusicWorks power and isolation products. As Bill Leigh at Auden say, “these have been a show staple for us for over a decade now and never let us down”.

LUPHONIC TURNTABLES

Auden Distribution are now the UK distributor for the innovative new Luphonic turntables, and they will be in the system at this year’s NWAS…this will be the first UK show where visitors will be able to hear these new vinyl spinners.

Handmade in Germany they feature an interesting and unusual combination of materials. The body of the deck is formed using cellular rubber sandwiched between layers of Corian to minimise vibrations and isolate the various components. The headshell is Polyamide embedded with glass spheres, ensuring a low weight of 6.3 g., it is rigid but doesn’t transmit vibrations from the cartridge as much as some other materials such as aluminium, Bill tells us.

LUPHONIC R3 REFERENCE

Auden will have all four models on display at NWAS and plan to use the R3 Reference fitted with the 12 inch tonearm in the flagship system in the Bell Suite. Playing through the Hegel V10 into the H600 amplifier and Amphion Krypton3X it promises to be a demo not to be missed. Luphonic will also feature in room 121 as the source for the Hegel H190V and Amphion Argon comparisons dem.

NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2024

Both visitors and exhibitors love NWAS, the North West Audio Show, at Cranage Hall, just south of Manchester, and many say it is their favourite UK HiFi Show.

The friendly and relaxed atmosphere, lovely location, free entry, parking and a welcome glass of fizz, alongside excellent entertainment and, of course, the best the UK HiFi scene has to offer, make it a fabulous weekend for all the family.

The show is held over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of June 2024.

With over 70 exhibitors bringing you more than 150 brands, there is HiFi, Home Cinema, HeadFi, In Car Audio and this year, the brand new NWAS Record fair. There is a free App, Lectures and Presentations, Live Music and entry is FREE whenever you reserve your ticket, onsite parking is FREE too.

There is a free shuttle bus to and from the show on Saturday and Sunday, to the nearby Holmes Chapel train station, for easy access by train. Onsite car parking is FREE. Manchester Airport is easily accessible by road and train.
