AUDIOVECTOR QR SPECIAL EDITION LOUDSPEAKERS
‘The QR Special Edition series, marks a significant advancement over its predecessors, promising an even more open, dynamic, and detailed sound experience”.

AUDIOVECTOR QR SPECIAL EDITION DRIVERS & CROSSOVERS
Audiovector engineer their own drive units in tandem with crossover designs. This strategy involves incorporating low-hysteresis coil technology, robust magnets, and turbulence-suppressing baskets with sandwich membranes made of two layers of bonded aluminium.
PURE PISTON DRIVERS
Audiovector has worked on the careful alignment of AMT, Pure Piston drivers, and specified crossovers. The concept of Dynamic Feed Forward has been designed to reduce crossover losses by up to 50%, while in-house-designed capacitors and precision components minimize the number of elements, enhancing linear phase roll-off profile, improving dynamics, and reducing heat build-up, Audiovector tells us.
AMT TWEETERS
The Audiovector QR Special Edition series employs Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters. Developed from Dr. Oscar Heil’s 1960s technology, these drivers boast zero mass, reaching frequencies exceeding 40,000 Hz with optimal dispersion. The lightweight mylar-membrane, resembling a harmonica bellows, is complemented by a gold-plated grid that enhances dispersion and integration with the midrange driver while reducing unwanted sibilants.
NEW CABINETS
The new enclosures, featuring rounded corners, are crafted from high-density hardwood HDF, strategically braced for high internal loss to balance strength and reduce resonance. Design enhancements include in-house capacitors, metal-housed resistors for improved heat dissipation, cryogenically treated internal wiring, and strategically placed Nano Pore dampening material for enhanced midrange openness. The Bass Reflex Port features higher internal damping than in the previous QR series. The design enhancements include discreet gold brass badges on front panels and cloth grills.
CRYOGENIC TREATMENT
In-house-designed capacitors, featuring double cryogenic polypropylene tin flash copper, have been designed to enhance the performance of AMT tweeters, providing optimal conditions.
