AURALIC AQUILA X3 LAUNCHED WITH A MODULAR DESIGN FOR ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY

AURALiC has announced the new AURALiC AQUILA X3 Streaming Media Processor, with CD Transport.

Combining bold aesthetics with advanced technology, the AURALiC AQUILA X3 Streaming Media Processor features a modular design, a 14-inch touchscreen, and a wide range of connectivity options. At its core is the Tesla G3 platform, supported by technologies such as Direct Data Recording (DDR) and Galvanic Isolation.

AURALIC AQUILA X3 STREAMING MEDIA PROCESSOR

The AURALiC AQUILA X3 offers a customisable modular architecture. Users can select digital or analogue output modules, or both. An optional analogue and phono input module provides versatility for either analogue-only processing or signal digitisation. Additionally, the AQUILA X3 accommodates up to 8TB of internal NVMe storage for those requiring extensive capacity.

CUSTOMISATION

For aesthetic personalisation, the AQUILA X3 allows users to choose from interchangeable surface panels in materials like aluminium, walnut, slate, or marble, with trim colours including Jet Black, Space Grey, and Titanium Gold.

CONNECTIVITY AND STREAMING

Built for future-proof flexibility, the AQUILA X3 includes Ethernet, WiFi, USB Audio ports, Toslink, Coaxial, HDMI eARC, and a CD transport. AURALiC’s proprietary LightningCast multi-room streaming protocol integrates seamlessly with major services such as TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, and AirPlay II.

POWERING THE AURALIC AQUILA X3: VARIABLE-FREQUENCY PSU

The AQUILA X3 features AURALiC’s Variable-Frequency External Power Supply (PSU), utilising Class AB regeneration technology to eliminate EMI noise and deliver clean, stable power. The PSU also provides user-selectable regeneration frequencies up to 400Hz, enabling tailored sound character.

FUSION DAC GEN II AND INTEGRATED LEO CLOCK

The AURALiC AQUILA X3 incorporates the latest Fusion DAC Gen II, which combines ladder and Delta-Sigma architectures. Users can customise their listening experience with advanced tone controls.

The integrated LEO Clock ensures precise digital-to-analogue conversion by reducing jitter significantly, say AURALiC. By integrating this clock directly into the DAC module, AURALiC has eliminated external cable-induced interference.

SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY FOR MODERN GRIDS

Acknowledging the challenges posed by renewable energy grids, AURALiC’s AC regeneration technology ensures the AQUILA X3 remains immune to grid instability. This innovation guarantees uninterrupted performance even in environments affected by solar or wind energy fluctuations.

AURALiC AQUILA X3 PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The AURALiC AQUILA X3 will be available starting in April 2025.

Priced at $14,999 USD (approximately €14,499 or £11,499, excluding VAT), each unit is custom-built, allowing customers to tailor their configurations through AURALiC’s online design tool.
