B &O are saying they like to think of the BeoLab 90 “as the future of sound”.
The BeoLab 90 celebrates 90years of the company and will cost a whopping £54 000 if reports are correct. They have an eye-watering 8200 watts per speaker (supplied by 14 channels of ICEpower amps….plus another 4 Class D amps) and weigh in at a back-breaking 137 kilos each with the solid aluminium structure accounting for 65 kilos of this.
Each speaker has 18 speaker drivers and the company’s mission was to “Create the perfect sound for the home, no matter what the circumstances”.
BeoLab 90 will include the company’s Active Room Compensation technology where they say “the sound will not be affected by resonances in your room and boundary effects from your walls, nor by your furniture, the placement of the speakers or where you’re placed” with the listener controlling the width and direction of the sound with Beam Width Technology…all from the remote or app, with users being able to save presets.
