We then made our way over to the National Stadium:
Vertere were in a room with (I think) Natural Sound, they had a room at the Stadium and then another over at the Tulip. Wonderful sound and I was completely transfixed by the speakers with the triangular bass section and ribbon tweeter horn…if anyone can send me more information on these I would appreciate it!
RAFKO Distribution had a very fresh and clean sounding (and looking) room. I was particularly taken with the Definitive Technology loudspeakers, would look great in a very contemporary home.
T+A had to get the award for the most Hifi Pig On -Brand room with their pink lighting…sounded great too.
The static exhibitions in the main hall areas next to the rooms got plenty of attention, there were lots of record stalls, interactive headphone displays, play-station big screen set up, lots of turntables from the likes of Transrotor and ProJect and the intriguing Yamaha ‘haunted’ piano.
There was also a huge headfi area, with probably the biggest range of headfi brands I have seen in one place, this area was very popular with visitors with young and old alike trying out the gear.
