BØRRESEN M2 LOUDSPEAKER LAUNCHED

Børresen M2 Loudspeaker hifi news

Danish high-end audio specialist Børresen, one of the Audio Group Denmark brands, has unveiled its latest addition to the M-series, the Børresen M2 loudspeaker.

The Børresen M2 Loudspeaker integrates advanced materials and proprietary technologies, continuing Børresen’s reputation for precision engineering and performance. It is the smallest floorstander in the flagship M range of loudspeakers from the Danish HiFi brand.

BØRRESEN M2 LOUDSPEAKER

At the core of the Børresen M2 are three 5-inch IronFree5 zirconium drivers. Unlike conventional magnet systems, these drivers feature handcrafted silver rings instead of copper, significantly reducing inductance and improving conductivity, Audio Group Denmark tells us.

CRYOGENIC TREATMENT FOR ENHANCED PURITY

To optimise conductivity and minimise distortion, all metal components of the M2—including driver elements, internal wiring, and crossover coils—undergo cryogenic treatment.

ADVANCED ANSUZ TECHNOLOGIES

Developed in collaboration with sister brand Ansuz, Børresen integrates advanced resonance control and signal management technologies into the M2. Tesla Coil technology actively eliminates noise, while Dither technology enhances musical clarity. Additionally, the inclusion of Gold Signature wiring ensures optimal conductivity and natural sound reproduction, says the Danish HiFi brand.

RIBBON PLANAR TWEETER

The Børresen M2 employs an RP94 Ribbon Planar Tweeter, known for its ultra-light diaphragm and high efficiency.

BØRRESEN M2 LOUDSPEAKER RESONANCE-CONTROLLED CABINET DESIGN

Constructed from thick milled hardwood laminates with aluminium bracing, the M2’s cabinet is engineered for maximum rigidity and minimal resonance. This design eliminates unwanted vibrations.

MULTI-LAYERED MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY

Each driver membrane features a four-layer construction combining spread tow carbon fibre, aramid honeycomb, and titanium. This combination offers stiffness while keeping mass low.

SERIAL CROSSOVER WITH BI-AMPING CAPABILITY

The M2’s serial crossover ensures seamless frequency transitions while supporting bi-amping for optimised power distribution.

BØRRESEN M2 LOUDSPEAKER PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The Børresen M2 is available in high-gloss black or white lacquer finishes. Priced at €175,000 MSRP.

HiFi PiG Says: The M range from Borresen is stunning, and this smaller floorstander is a great addition to the range.
