Bowers & Wilkins
Terry O’Connell, VP Sales EMEA for Bowers & Wilkins said: “A huge amount of time, effort and expertise goes into the creation of each and every one our products. We believe they represent the best, but we are always delighted to be backed by official recognition of our team’s efforts, especially when the award is the opinion of the expert judges at EISA.”
EISA will officially present the 2019-20 winners with their awards during the Berlin IFA Show, 6th – 10th September 2019.
Continuum Cone
The 603 features the patented Continuum cone, originally created for the iconic 800 Series Diamond models, plus decoupled Double Dome tweeters and Flowport technology – all initially found much higher up the company’s product range. In classic Bowers & Wilkins style, the 603s also feature a heavily engineered, rigid and acoustically inert cabinet that features a new clean design.
Commenting on the 603s winning performance, the EISA judges said:
“The Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series has set the standard in affordable speakers for decades, and this latest version is its best yet. That’s especially true of the floorstanding 603, which offers a striking combination of performance and value for money, thanks to technology trickled down from the flagship 800 Series Diamond speakers and a range that’s rationalised down to just the essentials. The ‘Decoupled Double Dome’ tweeter and ‘Continuum Cone’ midrange give the speaker detail, focus and presence, while twin bass drivers with ‘Flowport’ tuning ensure the sound is always rich and dramatic. This is a surprisingly advanced speaker design for the money”.
