BURMESTER X ROBBE & BERKING PRESENT LIMITED EDITION ANNIVERSARY DESIGNS
Burmester X Robbe & Berking present limited edition anniversary designs of BC150 speaker, the 111 musiccenter, and the 218 power amplifier, with silver accents.
When we visited German HiFi brand Burmester in Berlin, we had a sneak preview of one of their luxurious collaborations, with Robbe & Berking, who have been crafting silver cutlery and table accessories, in Germany since 1874.
Now the pair have released a collection of Burmester X Robbe & Berking Limited Edition Anniversary Designs. The exclusive limited edition of Burmester X Robbe & Berking BC150 speaker, the 111 musiccenter, and the 218 power amplifier, were created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the silver manufacturer.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The collaboration combines the expertise of both manufacturers. These pieces immortalize the rich history of traditional silver manufacturing and the Robbe & Berking boat-yard in a unique symbiosis of design and craftsmanship.
BURMESTER X ROBBE & BERKING BC150 LOUDSPEAKER
The aesthetic combination of silver and wood adds another layer of sophistication to the BC150 speaker anniversary edition. Warm brown tones harmoniously contrast with shimmering silver accents and the elegant champagne tone in the frame construction. The speaker’s side panels, made from fine yacht deck wood, lend the design a special nautical touch, while the front baffle features a relief specially developed for the anniversary a tribute to the waveform of the Robbe & Berking design classic Belvedere. Robbe & Berking’s silver expertise is also reflected in the finely crafted logo inlays that adorn the entire side surface of the BC150 speaker.
BURMESTER X ROBBE & BERKING 111 MUSICCENTER AND POWER AMPLIFIER
The 111 musiccenter features a housing made of fine champagne anodized aluminium.
Silver-plated knobs and a gleaming silver stripe elegantly stretching across the surface provide additional visual highlights. The collection is completed by the 218 power amplifier, which complements the set with champagne-coloured anodizing and subtly silver-plated accents.
This limited edition is created with loving craftsmanship. While some elements are made in Robbe & Berking’s Flensburg manufacturing premises, the complete work is finished in Burmester’s Berlin headquarters, where all parts are assembled by hand.
HiFi PiG Says: We love the limited editions from Burmester, find out more about them in our visit to their HQ in Berlin, here.
