CABASSE PEARL PELEGRINA LOUDSPEAKERS RELEASED BY THE FRENCH BRAND
To celebrate its 70th anniversary, French brand Cabasse has launched a new connected HiFi loudspeaker, the Cabasse Pearl Pelegrina.
Fifteen years ago, Cabasse first released the Cabasse Sphere high-end speaker system, which is one of the most impressive speakers we have had the pleasure of listening to.
CABASSE 70TH ANNIVERSARY
Now, to mark the brand’s 70th anniversary, Cabasse has finally unveiled the Cabasse Pearl Pelegrina which combines the brand’s technologies into a more compact form. The Cabasse Pearl Pelegrina is the centrepiece of Cabasse’s connected speaker range and takes its name from a rare 55-carat pearl that was discovered in 1913 and dubbed ‘The Incomparable’.
DETAILS OF THE CABASSE PEARL PELEGRINA
The Pearl Pelegrina features the Cabasse tri-coaxial speaker used in La Sphere and Baltic V systems, comprising high, medium, and low-medium drivers.
The Pearl Pelegrina is a sphere only 42cm in diameter and is the culmination of over 20 years of Cabasse’s signal processing research. CRCS (automatic room correction system) is calibrated via a speaker integrated microphone to enable sound optimisation according to the listening room. The new 30cm patented HELD sub-bass driver is amplified by 1850 WATTS RMS. Four separate amplifiers totalling 3700 WATTS RMS per speaker power the first quadricoaxial connected speaker featured in Cabasse’s catalogue.
MADE IN BRETAGNE
Custom-built by the brand’s team in Brittany (North-Western France). The Cabasse Peal Pelegrina stands tall at almost 130cm with its sphere and base measuring 48cm in diameter. Brand connoisseurs will surely recognise the Lissajous curve stand, the famous figure named after the physicist who ‘made sound visible’, and the logo that has accompanied Cabasse since its inception.

The Cabasse Pearl Pelegrina Loudspeakers in the Cabasse anechoic testing chamber in Brittany, France
Like all speakers in The Pearl Collection, including the Cabasse Pearl Akoya which we reviewed here, The Pearl Pelegrina features a custom cut polished mirror metal band that circles its sphere. The electronics are invisible having been ultra-miniaturized and concealed in the base. Each pair bears numbered plates to identity this special limited edition. 70 pairs will be created to mark Cabasse’s 70 years of existence.
