The newest driver is the Camerton Binom-A1 Rev.2 full range driver. This is an upgrade of the original Camerton Binom-A1. The aluminium elements of the compact balsa wood-based diaphragm are replaced in this version with parts made of isotropic carbon fibre impregnated with a special high-damping compound. This material allows a more flexible approach to optimizing the operation of the diaphragm, and dampens unwanted resonances. Another plus is the high electrical resistance of this material, which, in combination with its special, hand-made, isotropic structure, stops the occurrence of secondary electric currents within it.

UPGRADED MAGNETS

The driver’s magnetic system has also been upgraded. In addition to glueing, to achieve greater strength, it is additionally tightened with special bolts. Thanks to the new coating, its colour also changed, which became one of the main external differences.

Camerton Audio says of the new Binom-A1 Rev.2 “this driver offers a completely new representation of high frequencies”.
