COSMOTRON 130 AND COSMOTRON 50 BRONZE LOUDSPEAKERS ARE WORKS OF ART MADE IN WALES
The Cosmotron project was conceived some years ago, with the aim to create high-quality loudspeakers that not only produce excellent sound, but are also beautiful, and exquisitely engineered. The speakers are sculptures, works of art in their own right.
These highly individual loudspeakers have been created by a publicity-shy pair, known only as WW and M. They conceived, designed and built the Cosmotron speakers in North Wales, UK.
SCULPTURAL BRONZE
Cast in solid bronze, Cosmotrons cabinets will endure for thousands of years. Bronze and 316 Stainless Steel were chosen as the materials for the speaker cabinet, due to their resilience to corrosion and their intrinsic strength. Bronze is also a traditional sculptural material.
It takes a ton of bronze to make a pair of Cosmotron 130s. Refined casting methods are used to guarantee the same highest quality for each sculpture. The minutest of natural variations in the castings identify each set of Cosmotrons, like a fingerprint or DNA strand that marks them as an individual work of art.
BRITISH ENGINEERING
Thousands of hours go into the casting, engineering, construction and finishing of the Cosmotrons. All of the engineering works are carried out at the Cosmotron production facility in North Wales. The mirror finish on the speakers takes several months, there are no veneers, no filler or paint.
COSMOTRON 130
The Cosmotron 130 speakers are the larger model in the range. A floor-standing speaker that the creators say delivers a superb dynamic performance. The speakers have removable grills. And the Cosmotron 130 have adjustable wheel mechanisms to help with positioning.
